On June 26, 2021, after five years haitus, Jane Schwab and Madeline Perreault put their heads together and decided to get the Anglesea community together again. HERE’S the result of their efforts.

Yeah, we didn’t have a party in ’12 and ’13. Sorry… For those of you who came to our “Day at the Beach” Block Party on June 21st 2014, we thank you for your support, and trust you had a good time. For those of you who missed it, we hope that you will check with your neighbors to hear what you missed! Teri Bert and Corinne Russo did a fantastic job of putting the food together and decorating the scene so well. Many brought sides and appetizers, for which we are grateful. For those who helped set up the scene and break it down we thank you too. In addition to the traditional hamburgers and hot dogs, there was potato salad, Cole slaw, calzones, eggplant (special thanks to Corinne for this one), and much more. How about that chowdah? Pat Cottrell, our wondering minstrel provided fantastic live music throughout the afternoon. Thanks to Steve Johnson who donated this added attraction. In 2011, the first announcement of the Pot-Luck party said it would be held outside, beside and behind 123 Channel View on Saturday September 24th 2011, with a rain date of Sunday. However, the weatherman was not at all cooperative, and on Friday, was predicting steady rain for both Saturday and Sunday. Out of the phone booth stepped neighbor Dan Pendergast and made a call to the powers that be at Cornerstone Adult Services on Warwick Neck Avenue. Being chairman of their board helped, and he arranged for us to use the facility, with a huge kitchen and dining room, from 5 PM until 8 PM. Everyone was notified by email and showed up with a vast array of food to be shared by all. We had a collection pan out for donations to Cornerstone, and collected $60. See it Here
